The Art Atlas Foundation

The Art Atlas Foundation was created in 2003 as a non-profit association with the support of both the French and Peruvian Art Atlas companies, who allocate a percentage of sales improving the quality of life for people in the region. By means of education and training, we provide skill development to women and children who would otherwise not have the opportunity. We work on social assistance and productive program with poor families involved with the textile sector.

Objectives:
  • To create opportunities through education, development of technical skills, training, support and finally, jobs opportunities.
  • To support and empower children in poor communities to continue studies and stress the importance of education
  • To support and empower women as principle actors for the families, communities and society
  • Promoting the development, education and jobs for youth
  • Involving low-income families into a productive network for their social and economic advancement.
  • Constant and open guidance and support to entrepreneurs who strive to be self-sustainable and builders of their own future and the future of the country.
What We Do:
  • Provide school supplies and educational material to students and schools in poor, remote areas.
  • Provide technical training in different communities for skill development in knitting, washing, cutting and finishing processes
  • Provide healthcare to woman and artisans
  • Provide loans to entrepreneurs who want to buy their first machine or improve their workplace
  • Provide support to communities based on individual needs and special circumstances
  • Work with communities to build shelters for alpaca farmers
  • Give the gift of joy and hope through Christmas celebrations for children

“Actually, I feel really happy because since I began work with Art Atlas. I received the possibility of doing beautiful work with a fair payment and continuity. Now I can take care of my children and family. I feel that my work is valuable, and I am working hard to progress. I am learning in the training courses that I receive, and now I am helping other women from my community that like me, want to work and progress.
Thank you for the possibility.” - Eva Arivilca
